Infineon Technologies is seeking a talented applicant for an entry level Product Application Engineer to join our exciting and growing team at Livonia, MI.
In your new role you will:
- Build technical expertise working alongside the regional technical specialist focused on automotive electronic motor control applications
- Develop system understanding and assist in the creation of system solutions utilizing Infineon discrete and embedded motor control devices, microcontrollers, power supplies, networking devices and sensors
- Collaborate with sales team to provide application and product support to OEMs and Tier 1s to secure new business opportunities
- Provide 2nd level support to field application engineers for Infineon’s MOTIX™ MOSFET drivers, bridge drivers, system basis chips and embedded processing portfolio of automotive motor control products
- Establish and develop trusted relationships with key customer engineering personnel and decision makers
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- B.S. Electrical Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience as a semiconductor application engineer or automotive electronic system design engineer. Preferably with experience in motor control applications involving full and half-H bridge drivers, BLDC motor control fundamentals, closed-loop motor control theory and algorithm development
- Basic understanding of the application of motor control-related products including power MOSFETs, 32-bit microcontrollers and sensors
- Thermal design, analysis, modeling, and simulation experience beneficial,
- Curiosity and motivation to learn and apply new and innovative methods to proactively solve problems.
- Good interpersonal skills to communicate technical information to customers and Infineon sales and technical peers.
- Desire to work collaboratively and constructively as part of a highly-motivated team with a broad range of skills and mindsets to achieve common success.
